The CR-100 by Creality is a compact printer designed to make 3D printing accessible for children.
This 3D printer features automatic bed leveling which while printing, the printer’s firmware will actively use the information coming from the bed sensor attached to the extruder nozzle to adjust the nozzle position as it moves across the bed. So even if your build platform is slightly unleveled, the firmware will make small adjustments to the Z-axis while you print to ensure the nozzle is always the perfect distance away from the print bed, which will get you creating just that little bit faster, while also hopefully keeping little fingers out of harm’s way.
The easy to use touch pad makes it simple to get started. It has three buttons: One to start and pause prints, another to go back to the main menu and a final one for controlling the temperature.
It looks like a truck, which, if you’re a child, may be more exciting than a normal looking printer. The printer also comes in Red or Blue Colours.
To make it as easy as possible to remove and pop off prints, this printer comes equipped with a magnetic bed. It snaps on and off the build plate and with a gentle bend releases prints.Â
