If you set the energy required to cut a piece of 3mm stainless steel rope at 1, there would probably be 10 times as much energy required to cut a 6mm wire.That is why you need a cutter as big as this. Whilst it will cut up to 12mm copper cable, it is rated at being able to cut 6.0mm stainless steel wire. Any bigger than that, go to a professional rigger who will cut your wire hydraulically. In an emergency, you can cut heavy wire rope with a 100mm angle grinder fitted with a 1mm cutoff blade. This is not recommended routine practice as the steel mesh in the cut-off blade will contaminate the stainless steel material in the wire rope.
