Many people still just want a basic pocket AM/FM portable with simple “thumbwheel” tuning and volume. This radio certainly gives you that, but it also uses advanced digital signal processing for a performance that leaves traditional analogue circuitry for dead. The AM function is definitely no afterthought; at night you can typically pick up something on every spot on the dial. It’s like having a high-end car radio in your pocket; perfect for going bush.  

There's  a telescopic antenna for FM, and a traditional “slide-rule” tuning indicator.  The 1-inch built-in loudspeaker provides clear sound for sports or talkback, or you can plug in the provided earphones, or use your favourite Hi Fi ones.
